Bob Lochmueller, a three-year starter at tiny Elberfeld, led his team to the best record in school history as a senior. Bob was a three-year starter at University of Louisville and led the team in scoring as a junior and senior. He was the team MVP both years, leading Louisville into the NCAA and NIT. Bob played one year for the Syracuse Nationals before a career ending knee injury. He began assistant coaching at West Virginia and spent 23 years as a Hoosier high school coach, with 399-150 record. In his 15 years at Tell City, he won 9 sectional and 2 regional championships, with 257-96 record.
