Charlie Mair

Coach Mair served as North Posey’s girls’ basketball coach from 1978 to 2008 before resigning, posting a 339-261 record, a .565 winning percentage. Mair guided the Vikings to eight Pocket Athletic Conference championships and seven sectional titles, plus a regional championship in 1987. That year, he was named District 5 Coach of the Year by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association and District 2 Coach of the Year by the Hoosier Basketball. While at Princeton, Coach Mair has been blessed with having the best player in the Country, Jackie Young. The Tigers have won 97 games with only 9 losses and won the 2015 Class 3A Girls State Title. Charlie continues to coach the Tigers today and has a great nucleus coming back in 2016/2017.
