Frank Schwitz, a three year starter at Central High School, was captain his senior year and was a Kiwanis Award Winner in 1946. He won three Consecutive SIAC Championships and three consecutive City Titles. In 1946 Frank led his team to Sectional, Regional and Semi-State Championships. After he finished his playing career he started at Harrison High School. While there he was the first Varsity Basketball and Baseball coach in school history. He had the highest team scoring average in history at 75 pts. a game in 1966-67, single game scoring record scoring of 113 pts. in 1966-67. Frank won 56 of 57 regular season games in one stretch. Both his teams in 1964-65 and 1965-66 went undefeated in the regular season at 18-0. His team was the only Harrison basketball team to be ranked #1 in the state in the final regular season poll Frank is the ONLY Player AND Head Coach in Evansville History that won three consecutive SIAC Conference championships and three consecutive City Titles. In 1943-1946 as a player at Central High School and 1964-1967 as a coach. He became the first coach in Evansville history to go undefeated in the SIAC Conference and the 1st to go undefeated in the SIAC Conference two years in a row. His 1965-1966 team featured 12 players that went on to play college athletics. He had 7 Division players on that one team.
