Marty Amsler earned his first team All-American Collegiate Conference honors as a tackle for the Purple Aces in 1964 and was awarded the “Team Best Lineman” in 1964. He was the first University of Evansville player to be drafted into the NFL as the Dallas Cowboys took him as an offensive guard in 1965 he also coached offensive and defensive linemen in 1965 at University of Evansville. Marty spent time playing for the Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers. Marty is a 2001 inductee into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame.
