Scott was a three year letter winner at North High School, earning All City Honors his senior year.  While at Danville Community College, Scott’s Danville Team won the NJCAA Division II National Championship in 1991 and in 1992. He was named to the All Region 24 Team. Scott finished out his career at Southeast Missouri State University.
