Tim Nonte spent 30 years coaching basketball at various levels at Loogootee and Princeton Community High Schools. Tim graduated from Loogootee St. John’s in 1960 and participated in basketball, baseball and track. Tim began his coaching career in 1965 at Loogootee, with grades 5th and 6th. Then he became the assistant coach for grades 7th and 8th, his B-team once had a 57 home game winning streak. When he coached freshman he won four Freshmen Blue Chip Conferences. In 1982, Jim went to Princeton Community High School to coach baseball, after three years he took over the 8th grade team for seven years. During this time he won five straight Junior High Conferences. Tim retired in 1998 after 34 years of coaching.
